Fix My Website
Need to fix your website? A real developer can look at it today.
Whether your website is down, hacked, slow, or just broken in some new and creative way, a senior developer can help you fix your website the same day. No ticket queue, no first-tier filter, no scripted call center.
What we can help you fix right now.
If your website is broken, we have almost certainly seen the same thing before. Here are the most common scenarios that bring people to this page.
My website is down
Server unreachable, white screen, 500 errors, or any flavor of "the site is not loading." We can usually identify the cause within minutes and start the fix the same day.
My contact form is not working
Submissions disappearing, emails not arriving, or SMTP errors. WordPress contact form issues are one of the most common things we fix. We test the whole form-to-CRM path, not just the submit button.
My site has been hacked
Malware, defacement, redirect injections, or Google flagged your site as harmful. We clean it, harden it, and tell you exactly how it got in so the same hole does not get used twice.
My website is slow
Pages taking forever to load, Core Web Vitals tanking, mobile users bouncing. We diagnose what is actually slow (plugins, images, hosting, third-party scripts) and fix the highest-impact issues first.
Something is broken in the layout
A recent update broke the layout. A plugin conflict made the homepage look weird. A theme update wiped out customizations. We rebuild the broken parts and put a process in place so the next update does not break anything.
I do not know what is wrong, just that it is not working
You can describe a symptom without knowing the cause. That is normal. We do the diagnostic work, tell you what we found, and quote the fix before any of your hours get used.
Not seeing your specific problem? Almost every website issue falls into one of these buckets even when the symptoms look unique. Tell us what you are seeing.
How fast we can actually help.
Our standing hours are 9 to 5 Central, Monday through Friday. During those hours you can almost always get a senior developer on the phone in the next few minutes. There is no help-desk routing, no SDR, no triage queue. You are talking directly to the person who can fix what is broken.
For most fixes, we can start work in the same conversation that diagnosed the problem. If your site is down because of a misconfigured plugin or an expired certificate, you usually do not even need to hang up. If the cause is deeper (a hack, a hosting-level issue, a database problem), we will tell you what we are seeing and give you a real ETA before any of your hours get used.
When something needs more than the phone can carry (a screen share, a video walk of a complex flow, or a debug session on staging), we can jump on a video call immediately. The same developer stays on the issue from diagnosis to fix to follow-up, so you never have to re-explain your situation.
What it costs to fix your website.
One-off fixes are billed hourly. Most issues are resolved in well under the budget we quote on the discovery call, but you will know the worst case before we touch anything.
Most clients who reach out to fix a website end up moving to a monthly website maintenance plan after the first fix. Not because we push it but because reactive hourly help is more expensive than a retainer that also covers ongoing maintenance, monitoring, security, and the monthly meeting. If you only need a single fix, we can do that too.
FAQ
WordPress maintenance questions, answered.
How long does it take to fix a crashed website?
It depends on the cause. A misbehaving plugin or a server config issue is usually fixed in under an hour. A hacked site with malware injection can take a few hours to a full day to clean and harden. A complex hosting or database issue can sometimes take longer. We will tell you what we are looking at within the first thirty minutes of the conversation.
Why is my website down?
The most common causes are: a plugin or theme update conflict, an expired SSL certificate, a server reaching its memory or PHP limit, DNS or domain expiration, a hosting account suspension, or in the worst case a hack. We look at the server logs, the recent change history, and the network response to pin down which one quickly.
How do I know if my website has been hacked?
Common signs: visitors report seeing spammy redirects, Google Search Console shows a security warning, new admin users appeared in your CMS that you did not create, unfamiliar files in your file system, or a sudden spike in traffic to URLs that do not exist. If you suspect a hack, do not log in from a public machine and do not change any passwords until we can take a snapshot.
Can you fix a contact form that is not sending emails?
Yes. WordPress contact forms not sending email is one of the most common things we fix. The cause is usually an SMTP misconfiguration, a hosting provider blocking the wp_mail function, an interaction with a security plugin, or an issue with the receiving inbox. We test the whole form-to-email path and put monitoring on it so you find out immediately if it breaks again.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. We can take a one-off engagement to fix a specific problem and bill it at our hourly rate. Most clients move to a monthly plan after the first fix because reactive billing is more expensive than a retainer, but you are never required to. If you just need help with your website once, we can do that.
What if I am not sure what is broken?
Describe what you are seeing, when it started, and what changed recently if anything. We will walk the site with you (often on a video call), look at the analytics, the server logs, and the recent change history, and tell you what we think is happening. The diagnostic conversation is usually included in the discovery call.
Are you available on weekends?
Our standing hours are Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 Central. For emergencies on Performance plan clients, we can sometimes respond outside of those hours, but the routine schedule is weekdays.
I need help with my website but I do not know where to start. Can you walk me through it?
"I need help with my website but I do not know what is wrong" is one of the most common ways people come to us. Book a discovery call and we will walk the site with you on a video call, look at the analytics together, identify what is actually broken or underperforming, and tell you what we would do about it. Help with my website is often as much about diagnosis as the actual fix.
